I have always loved soft water. House cleaning is easier and dirt is removed faster, and the money you save on soap is mind blowing. I suggest to all I know how wonderful soft is and how much better off their plumbing would be. This home has always had soft water. I saw the salt tub and all the equipment for soft water and it's a big reason I purchased this home. I've using the same bar of soap for close to a year. I have to be carefull I don't use but very little or it takes to much water to get it rinsed off. I wouldn't be without. The first home I moved into in a little town near Ogden Utah after I was married had the worst water ever and turned a batch of diapers with the worst mess with spots and I didn't know what was the matter. There was only about three people in the project we had moved into and I asked one of them what was going on with the water and they said the well that was dug for the area was terrible and to call the Culligan People and have a Soft Water System put in and we were so poor, but I couldn't wash another thing and have it look like my diapers. I was so upset so I called Culligan and they said it would make the water so clear and they were right and that's when I learned about not using to much soap. Well it took several washing and bleaching before the diapers looked halfway decent. Thank goodness myself and husband only saw them, but I found out several families had the same problem. I got them all together and we watched as people moved in and warned them about the water. I never knew if the wells ever cleared up because I loved the softness so much and how much better our hair looked and the money I saved and have never been without it again and try to talk my neighbors into it but they only look at the cost and I tell them what they save on everything takes care of the cost. I would like for the cost to be a little less, but I know how important Soft Water is for your pipes and your household cost, because things last longer, but some people are just dumb and think a six pact is more important. It's sad when a six pack takes preference over important things in life and it makes me wonder what else takes a back seat to the beer. I hope their children don't. I have had soft water since 1954 when that first little house we bought made us know how very important living with soft water is and I will never be without it again if I can help it. Well this big note should let you know how much it means to me and I will be 85 next month and will not be without it until I die if I can help it and one more thing the fine gentleman that delivers the salt to my house is such a nice person and he knocked on my utility room door and had seen a large nail in my right rear tire and I don't know if I would ever had noticed it. The car had to be pulled in just so or I never would have seen it and I never thought to look and check for nails and how dumb is that?, but I look every time I go out and pull the car up so I'm sure I can see around them. That isn't the first time that man has helped me and I hope he is appreciated at work as much as I appreciate him. I have more in here than just how much I love soft water, but people need to know what kind of trouble you can get into with bad water and how clothes can be ruined and you never know where you move what kind of wells or where the city gets the water, but I don't want to drink city water because it's horrible tasting. You can use this to tell people, but leave my name off and where I live because I don't need any problems with the neighbors and it really isn't my business what they do, I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to protect your home. Plumbers are expensive and if that can be prevented all the better. I guess you don't miss what you never have had. How sad. I wish you all a good day. Sincerly, Marilyn Phelps
