Change of filter and adding salt was fine, but waiting two weeks for a service Appointment because of yellow, hard water is very disappointing. I would caution prospective buyers about how long it takes to get a service appointment.
I have had muddy water in the bottom of my tank for quite some time and I am wondering why the people who fill the tank with salt have never addressed this or at least mentioned that there could be something wrong. I am surprised no one mentioned that going through 9 bags of salt so quickly was most likely an issue and they just kept charging me for so many bags knowing there could be a problem. I know nothing about water softeners, but realized that one person should not be going through that much salt so quickly. Just frustrated.
The delivery guy was not supposed to put the salt in the tank this last time, so that I could get it serviced, but did so anyway. Now I will go through 9 bags of salt again, needlessly. This gets expensive, when it could have been prevented.
The service person who delivers the salt is very efficient and friendly. When I have needed to call the main office I was treated with concern and prompt attention.
Would definitely recommend Culligan to to others
