The team at Cary is top notch and delivered the experience I was hoping for. I originally went to Contes down the street because as they were a bit closer and they actually turned me and my $250 away. I am glad they did because now I feel I have a great place to go with good people at Trek Cary. Thanks for reaching out.
The in-store employee worked diligently on the phone to track down and confirm my order was ready as I hadn't received a follow-up call after the initial reservation call at the start of the week. Bike pick-up was exceptional, making sure we had what we needed.
My salesperson, Jay, was awesome. I came in looking for my first bike and knew nothing about them or what to look for. I was relieved at how easy he was to talk to and that he wasn’t pushing me to just buy the most expensive thing. He listened to what I needed and recommended a great bike that I absolutely love.
I needed replacement chain ring fasteners for a 6 year old Trek bike with a Shimano R460 crank. I hunted online for the product and could find none. Lea (Tech at Cary, NC Trek store) did a fabulous job considering and explaining various possible repair options, then looked for parts. She ran into several dead ends hunting for parts, but ultimately identified a newer Shimano crank model with chainring fasteners matching the needed dimensions in stock at one of your suppliers, and ordered them for me. She also identified wear on one chainring that I was unaware of.
In the past 6 years, I’ve biked over 30,000 miles and done most of my bike maintenance myself. Occasionally, I’ve asked bike techs at this Trek store and at a nearby Specialized competitor for advice about a specific issue. Lea W. (LW5 on the receipt) is among the best of the group.
Had my bike serviced and purchased riding shoes. Service finished the bike early. I also purchased riding shoes for my new clip in pedals. Jay was outstanding helping me!!
