The in-store employee worked diligently on the phone to track down and confirm my order was ready as I hadn't received a follow-up call after the initial reservation call at the start of the week. Bike pick-up was exceptional, making sure we had what we needed.
My salesperson, Jay, was awesome. I came in looking for my first bike and knew nothing about them or what to look for. I was relieved at how easy he was to talk to and that he wasn’t pushing me to just buy the most expensive thing. He listened to what I needed and recommended a great bike that I absolutely love.
I needed replacement chain ring fasteners for a 6 year old Trek bike with a Shimano R460 crank. I hunted online for the product and could find none. Lea (Tech at Cary, NC Trek store) did a fabulous job considering and explaining various possible repair options, then looked for parts. She ran into several dead ends hunting for parts, but ultimately identified a newer Shimano crank model with chainring fasteners matching the needed dimensions in stock at one of your suppliers, and ordered them for me. She also identified wear on one chainring that I was unaware of.
In the past 6 years, I’ve biked over 30,000 miles and done most of my bike maintenance myself. Occasionally, I’ve asked bike techs at this Trek store and at a nearby Specialized competitor for advice about a specific issue. Lea W. (LW5 on the receipt) is among the best of the group.
Had my bike serviced and purchased riding shoes. Service finished the bike early. I also purchased riding shoes for my new clip in pedals. Jay was outstanding helping me!!
I had a great experience at this bike shop. I stopped in looking for a bike for my daughter ahead of a riding clinic, and the entire team was welcoming, encouraging, and very professional.
Jay, who helped us, took extra time while my daughter tried out a bike. He gave her helpful tips, made sure she felt comfortable, and was patient and supportive throughout the process.
Buying a bike is a big investment, and their kindness and professionalism really stood out. I would definitely recommend this shop to others and plan to return in the future.
In a previous survey, I responded that the Cary Trek store is a neighborhood bike shop.
The staff represents our cycling community, including competitive cyclists, enthusiasts, and seniors like me, and not to forget the bike mechanic. A couple of years ago, I purchased the Thule Easyfold XT bike carrier to secure my two new eBikes. A week ago, I could not get it to lock into my trailer hitch, and Brett told me to contact Thule because they have a lifetime warranty. Brett helped me articulate the problem so that Thule could resolve it. Five minutes ago, FedEx delivered an entire brand-new carrier. Thule's warranty is as good as its products. I am ecstatic. My wife and I depend on our eBikes and rack for setting up running events, and we have one tomorrow. I also appreciate the older gentleman in the store who showed me a few tricks of interest to Boomers.
Leah was great! The tech who worked on my bike did a great job!
I brought my 1993 Trek 520 touring bike, which I hadn’t ridden in 9 years, in to be refurbished back to its former days of glory, haha.
Leah the sales rep/tech ran through what she thought was needed, gave me a fair estimate, tried to keep the bike as original as possible, and did a fantastic job. The technician who did the work, unfortunately I didn’t get his name, made the bike look and feel as new.
I couldn’t be happier!!
The team at the Cary Trek Bike Shop have been helping me with my cycling needs for over 20 years, even before the became a Trek shop. I can always count on them to ask the right questions and offer proper guidance for bikes and accessories. I’m now on my 4th bike purchased from Trek Cycle in Cary.
The staff is knowledgable and very friendly. It is a good environment to see product without high pressure sales. Coupled with plenty of help deciding what bike makes sense for your riding preference.
