Products are excellent. Service response is well managed and prompt. Talking to a human when you call is unique in this day and age … and MUCH appreciated! Service people are knowledgeable, pleasant and, again, prompt. We have used Dead River for the past 17 years and have no complaints! Thanks to all at the company.
We have your Presidential Plan. Always receive fast, prompt, professional service. We have peace of mind knowing that you are there for us. The office staff are courteous and professional. Every technician has been well trained, professional and courteous. We appreciate knowing you are there.
Also, we are on the annual payment plan with automatic fueling service. Very convenient.
Thank you.
The service associate was prompt respectful knowledgeable he explained everything to me and did a perfect job I will recommend him and Dead river company to everyone, Great job.
The serviceman who arrived on time was amiable and seemed very competent. He informed us that he was an apprentice and that certain needed repairs could not be performed without supervision. We liked his honesty! He called his office and the very next day, everything was completed! Thanks!
Glen did a great job when he was here to do an overview of my LP boiler system and briefly explained everything and helped me understand how it operates.
He also did a great check of all my equipment and found everything to be working properly. It's a new system installed by Dead River in the Winter or 2023 so I'm glad to know all is well with it since I bought this house last year and I've never had a propane fueled heating system.
Glen was nice and patient to explain everything and was extremely knowledgeable. He also suggested that I get a tune-up before the winter starts again to clean out the filter, which I will do.
One thing I'd like to know is why the boiler runs sometimes when it's turned off at the thermostat. Glen verified that the thermostat was turned off, that it was set to a low temperature even though it was turned off, and there were no other setting configured that would make it continue to run.
Glen suggested that I bleed my radiators which could get rid of any air in the lines which we'll do when I get the tune-up but we never figured out why my LP boiler still runs occasionally for a minute or two a few times a week and why it still sounds like it's calling for propane like it does during the winter, but the thermostat is off for the summer.
Any further information that anyone could provide to me would be appreciated. Glen suggested I turn the emergency switch off so that it's completely off until I'm ready to turn it back on for the winter, but I think it was using a little bit of propane even though the thermostat was off so that's confusing, especially since I could still hear the boiler calling for propane consistently.
Everything is off now with the emergency switch off, but I would like to try to figure out why it was doing that because I don't want to be using extra propane unnecessarily. There is no odor of propane when this happens, but I would be curious about why it's doing that.
Glen and I talked about a potential frost protection mode of something, but we never concluded why it's still operating when it was off at the thermostat, before I turned everything off at the emergency switch.
Thanks again.

Would like to praise the technician who came out from the skowhegan office, he was the same gentleman who did a lot of our install and generator hookup and he always goes above and beyond, calling to let us know arrival, answering any extra questions we have, and making sure we are all set with the service we need even if it means staying late, we have so appreciated his work ethic
I was impressed right from the start; my initial phone call to inquire about rates on propane was answered by a lovely woman who took the time to explain all the options we had and answered my questions with a caring and sincere tone. So wonderful in this time of rote answers and e-mail "chats". I immediately felt this company had people who cared and wanted to do a good job for me.
