Personalized workouts - I know I won't hurt myself because someone is there to set up the machines correctly and to make sure the weight isn't too much and to make sure I'm using the correct form.
Ease of scheduling - I've rescheduled workouts a few times and it's not a big deal
Friendliness of staff - everyone has called me by name when I walk thru the door, even if I haven't met them yet. And all of them have come up to shake my hand the first time they've seen me. Very welcoming!
Only needing to come twice a week - I get burnt out needing to go 5+ times a week to get results so I'm excited to see if this actually works for me! I can do anything for 30 minutes twice a week, especially since it's on the way home from work!
8 years. Most of that time 2X weekly. 30 minutes per. ~175 lbs then. 153 lbs now. ~ 29% body fat then. 15.0% now. Lifting ~ 30-40% more weight on each of 7 measured lifts. At age 57, when I began, my goal was to slow age-related muscle loss. And to decrease body fat %. Noble, healthy, and health-related goals. Check and then some.
Occasionally I'm asked by someone who hasn't seen me for a few years, what I've done (to look so different). My response: strength training. Often I'm then asked who my trainer is. My response: Discover Strength. I made a fortunate choice to choose DS. They have made informed choices to employ professionals who consistently utilize a research-informed methodology.

I really appreciated the careful guidance that I got from my trainer. I felt like the trainer understood my goals and gave helpful guidance for the immediate work I could do to make progress towards those goals without wasting time or energy.
I appreciate the care with which the team handles each situation. The set up of 3 people in a group feels more like a 1:1, or a 2:1 which is nice.

Taylor is amazing. She's so compassionate and pushes me to grow. She also helps me celebrate my wins in the moment. It's kept me coming back. Also, switching from virtual to in-person, I enjoy the feel of being in studio with everyone being so kind and welcoming. It has a community feel.
