I like the daytime programs offered. Although not specific for older adults, there are plenty of classes that are quite suitable for us older adults. The staff are wonderful and helpful and very personable.
I do miss the Gentle Yoga class though! And I think that Bebe is a wonderful instructor for all of her classes, she makes sure new people are welcome and explains the different exercises and she is very caring too.
I appreciate the fact that you have activities for every age and every fitness level. I appreciate your employment of those with "disabilities." You prove they are able. I appreciate your making your programs available regardless of ability to pay. I appreciate your feeding, clothing and mentoring kids. The members are friendly and welcoming (except some of the Yoga people, just being honest).
The only thing I don't like is the parking. I know you have other places available. But, honestly, I'm not going to walk a long way to take a 50 minute class and then walk back. I circle the parking lot 3 times. If I can't find a place to park I go home and then walk at the rec. center. Even so, I do love the Y!
The programs and activities at the Downtown Y are awesome. They are all ran by friendly staff and are usually on schedule. My kids always enjoy the time they spend being active and making memories. They have something for everyone of all ages which is priceless to me with such an age range of children.
