I use Fast Signs in Edmonton and love them. I have a client in Calgary so tried your location so the client could easily drop off the hardware for a new banner to be inserted.
We were printing a new pop-up banner to fit into existing hardware (just an update). I used the same dimensions as was the previous banner (36" x 79.5" with a 6" bleed = 85.5") and emailed a high res PDF file to your location (all fonts were converted to outlines). Received two proofs that were incorrect (one was missing the background, the other had chunks of colour inside the lettering at the top). I sent a low res PDF file for them to see what it should look like and was then told that's what they printed.
I emailed Erun for her to contact me and she responded she had already spoken to the client (implying she wasn't going to call me). So I phoned so I could understand what was actually printed. Erun was clearly angry, mentioned that my file size was all wrong and had to be fixed and couldn't understand what the big deal was. I asked her to calm down so I could ask some questions and her response was "I don't know what the big deal is...it's only one sign". She also mentioned if it was wrong, my client would be paying for a reprint. I was shocked - yes it's only one sign...my client's sign for his business to make money. In my 22 years of business I've never had someone imply that what they were printing wasn't important.
I was happy to see the end result was okay for my client, however the customer service has turned me off your location for good. We will print in Edmonton again and ship to Calgary from now on.
Just like the name suggests- Fast Signs!
Quality work. Great guys to deal with. We have done multiple installs with them and zero hassles. Have recommended them already to others and will do so again.
After being asked if we had a camera-ready copy of the logo FastSigns previously used on our vehicles (which we were never provided, of course) as FastSigns had "lost" the one they had, we informed them that no, we did not, but we forwarded the proof they had sent waaay back when showed the correct logo, the measurements and the placement. The 1st proof submitted for approval was significantly different from the copy of the old proof with the "right" logo we had emailed, as if the "right" logo had never been looked at.
One credit card was used for a deposit on the work. When the work was completed, we realized we would have to use an alternate credit card for the balance. We were charged on the second credit card for the full invoice for the work and not credited for the deposit. Despite advising tFastSigns our on-line statements showed the transactions for both the deposit and the full invoice, and explaining this in oh so many ways, they just don't seem to get it.
