I love the team at Fitness Together - The Andovers. No matter who I train with, I feel that they are focused on making sure the program is working to meet my goals.
An unexpected side benefit to training at FT is a much improved golf swing. I am much more powerful now, have more stamina to get through a round in the hot weather, and am not sore after playing golf, even if it's been awhile.
I have found that the concept of switching up the program every 6 weeks really works for me. That keeps me from getting bored. Also, in the past, I would do something until I got bored and then feel like I failed in some way because I didn't want to keep up with whatever I was doing. Changing the program regularly avoids that.
personal and non-judgemental - and completely understanding of the process for each individual person. It's hard to do this and the first biggest step is acknowledging we need help and can't do it alone - Joe has shown great sensitivity but firmness in dealing with me. He makes me feel I can do this and be committed to the process.
The trainers I had before at FT always set up everything for my workout in advance, when it's possible. So during my workout, I can just move from one exercise to the next, and the trainer can focus on my workout too, versus busy setting things up. That makes my workout session progresses smoothly and efficiently.
The staff is educated, friendly, and professional. The smaller setting provides a much cleaner, comfortable and personal workout experience, than a large gym can offer. Workouts are tailored to each client, individually, and adjusted as needed.
Amy was amazing! My first time ever going and she had an adorable welcome sign with my name on it! It was so cute and made me feel super welcomed. Amy was very nice, knowledgeable, and very motivating. The space is small but it isn't an open gym, it's made for one on one training or semi private training. It is well maintained and clean. I also like that there isn't big group classes or you train with others you don't know. The only down fall I have to say is it is quite expensive, but if you can afford it, it is worth it! :)
