I thoroughly enjoy the 1:1 training/coaching aspect. I have been with FT for almost 5 years.
I really enjoyed being able to continue training during COVID with the use of Zoom sessions.

Going into my 3rd year with FT and it's worth every penny. The trainers are professional and take into account activity level, injury and just making sure I use proper body mechanics. Sometimes just a small adjustment in my form will give me quite the bang for my buck. That's what I'm paying for. They make it fun and you have to choice of doing it virtually if you have a few props in place or going directly to the studio. Cannot say enough about FT in Barrington.
I can't speak highly enough about the relationships I have with my trainers. Over the years we've become friends, beyond the trainer/client relationship. They're always interested in my well-being, and the evolution of my training and workout routines reflects that. They've been so patient with my ups and downs with various age and surgery based occurrences, have adjusted my regimen accordingly, and been incredibly accommodating as needed. I encourage at least an interview, and at the most, to work with the trainers for perhaps an initial "test drive". You won't be disappointed.
I so appreciate the care taken by the team to be sure that my workouts are specifically tailored to me and how my body works. Progress is measured in comparison to me and my body. The focus is on truly personal fitness support, specifically to help my body do what I need it to do in my life. I cannot imagine a time in my life when FT will not be an essential part of my self care.
Having attended large group classes for many years, I appreciate the personalized programs Steve creates for me. In recent months I’ve had to deal with some limitations from time to time, but he never misses a beat. When it’s necessary he quickly revises the program for the day, so I’ve always had terrific workouts. I’m continually impressed by his knowledge, creativity, and professionalism.
Every trainer is knowledgeable, caring, and personally invested in your success. They work together, understanding your hopes and challenges, to help you reach your goals safely. I always feel better after I have a session and always leave with a smile.
I love the fact that they really care about my journey to get stronger and to feel better. Not intimidating at all, and they really listen and provide the best workouts. Allison, the owner, is always sending helpful advice about losing weight and even sending healthy recipes .
I feel so much better since I have been going there and it was just the jumpstart I needed to get stronger for my 80 pound rescue puppy!
FT is a special place. It is the first gym where I have not felt intimidated or out of place. It is absolutely apparent that the trainers truly care about my well-being.
There are days when I go in and my trainer for the day can tell that there is an asymmetry, a source of pain or a change in my range of motion and they immediately re-tailor their session plan for me. They have helped me to understand that wellness a new process for me, and that it will become a forever habit. While I am making definite, tangible progress, it is helpful to know that the expectation is not to achieve full fitness in five minutes. Instead, they are teaching me to listen to my body and understand what it can do. And for the first time, I truly believe that my body is something to appreciate rather than be ashamed of.
I consistently leave FT feeling positive, comfortable in my skin, and grateful to be a client there.
I suggest Fitness Together to many friends and family members.
I like the one to one coaching because it is paced at a level that suits me.
When I have had physical issues like a broken toe, my coaches would cater
exercises to avoid further injury.
I occasionally get back spasms (due to stress or strain) and my coaches give me
specific exercises/stretches to make them stop!
