Everyone associated with FFSB has been amazing. I believe this flows from owner/runner Colin Klein, who is a genuinely caring individual and treats patrons of the store as people, not just customers. The store's training programs and knowledgeable mentors have helped me prepare for the past two L.A. Marathons and several half marathons. Their training series have helped me become physically prepared for races. Their unwavering encouragement and support have helped my confidence grow with my physical abilities. I have not hesitated in recommending this store and their training series to anyone interested in registering for any race. You will have fun, feel fit, and make friends!
100% it is the sense of community. I feel like I can walk into FFSB literally any time of day and get a "NORRRRM!" sort of greeting.
There are plenty of running stores in the area. I've been to the others and all feel like a chain store (even ones that only have one other store) with some occasional social running. FFSB feels like a running club that happens to sell shoes.
I want to thank Colin for always taking the time to help anyone who comes in. From the first time we came in for shoes for my son, to coming in for shoes for me, he is always super personable and knowledgable. Great store. Will be back for my next shoes. :)
