The last few times I have come in, I have had to change the Dow that myself or my son had been wearing. Both times I was unable to find a suitable alternative. I’m not sure if it’s a selection issue or that the staff I worked with was new. The staff was very polite and did try. But I’m still looking for two new shoes for my son and I.
Finding good, comfortable shoes are a challenge for me due to a number of foot issues. Beckah (spelling?) took her time, looked at my feet, my walk, and my old shoes. She obviously gave some real thought to me as an individual before recommending a couple of different shoes.
While the shoes were not inexpensive, they were within $5 of another local competitor known for discounting their shoes.
I guess I expected a little more from the consultant that waited on me. I ended up with a nice pair of running shoes; however, I wasn't shown much more than a couple of pairs. I was measured & scanned & that was fine. I felt good about those things, but I didn't feel like the girl had a lot of experience in this field.
I have been at other stores of like nature as yours, and I felt much more confident with what the consultant was telling/advising me. I kind of felt like the girl at Fleet Feet just went along with what I was saying & not really giving me any expertise on the subject. What do I know! I just wanted to be fitted properly with the right shoe for the condition of my feet & the way I exercise.
I was told I had 60 days to try the shoes out & that I could bring them back, used & dirty or not, for a full refund. Hopefully, I won't have to do that. I drove over an hour to get to your store in Louisville!
