This was my second time booking a haircut for my 5-year-old son at Floyd’s 99 Barbershop at The Venue in Lexington, KY, and once again, the experience was exceptional. The staff are truly wonderful, they are patient, gracious, and attentive. Not only do they offer high-quality children’s haircuts, but they’re also incredibly accommodating to kids with sensory sensitivities. Their thoughtful approach and care make a world of difference. Additionally, this location is very clean, with tools that are clearly well-maintained and sanitized to professional standards. The atmosphere inside is welcoming, with music at a comfortable volume, soft overhead lighting in combination with natural light, and a unique sink setup at each station that adds to the overall experience. The seating/waiting area is positioned nicely by the front desk/ entrances. There’s ample parking around the building, and the shop is easily accessible via New Circle Road or directly from Pasadena Drive off Clay’s Mill. I recommend checking out Tuk Tuk Snack Shop, located just a few doors down, after your visit! I highly recommend Floyd’s 99 for all ages, especially for little ones who may need a gentler touch. Kathy is absolutely amazing. She does a fantastic job, she’s easy to talk to and always works to ensure I’m happy with everything. I live 90 minutes away but I arrange work travel to get my haircut with her.
