I stopped in to see your sale items. I didn't see anything in my size, but one of your (excellent) sales people suggested a shoe that I thought was too wide for me, and I had passed over it. (On the Brannock tool I'm right on the line between narrow width and medium). The shoe was Athens 41430 size 8, width 2W. I think the shoe is especially for people with diabetes foot problems, which is not me. I laughed when I saw it because it looked like a shoe that my father might have worn--brown leather oxford. That didn't deter me though--I'm an active senior, and looking for comfort, not a dressy shoe. And they had many attractive dress-up shoes. When I tried it on, it immediately felt comfortable, and surprisingly not too wide. I thought it might be a tad short, but maybe not, so I decided to give it a try--shall I mention the sale price? $25.00 for a shoe that I think was originally was about $150. In the next few days of wearing these shoes around the house I've decided that they are my favorite, most comfortable shoe ever! I'm so happy that I bought these great shoes, and so grateful to that sharp salesperson who knew her shoes. Also, the salespeople are very helpful in fitting the shoes to your foot if necessary, and know how to used pads and lifts and take out shoe liners etc to maximize the comfort and customize the fit. Very helpful and no "hard sell". I had tried on other shoes, was helped with the fit, but did not feel pressured to buy. I can highly recommend this shoe store, it is unique.
