Everyone at the facility is welcoming, friendly, and want to help you succeed on your self care journey.
I really enjoy the weight machines. The is the first time in my 62 years I have done consistent circuit training and am enjoying the changes in my body and mental state. The Coach Approach Program supports my growth and success. Thank you, Kat!!
I really enjoy the Chair Yoga and AOA classes.
I look forward to going to the Y!
We enjoy going to the YMCA at [LAST NAME REMOVED]. The staff at check in are very friendly and welcoming. The track is nice. Upstairs staff need to work instead of sitting at the desk all the time. The workout machines always need cleaning. The television on the the stair climbers have been out of order for weeks. Guess they forgot to get someone to fix them. Being on their phones keep them busy.
The facility is well designed and maintained. The Y provides the hours and tools (in my case, lap swimming in the pool and supporting shower and locker room) for my work out objectives.
I love the Y, the people, the different facilities. I use the pool, weight room, and locker room often. All are in great shape, clean, and very usable.
I have two recommendations, I have said them before, and this is to make the Y better.
1-Add showers to the pool deck so that people wash off before getting in the pool. Frequently during water aerobics there is the taste, feel, and smell of perfumes, lotions, and colognes in the pool. Adding showers to the pool deck, and further highlighting this standard will help.
2-Move the free weightdumbell storage out, and turn 180 to face the mirrors. This will make it easier for people to lift weights in the mirror, not get in others way, and store and retrieve weights. There is enough space to do this. Or turn in perpendicular ot the mirrors and out into the open space on the far side. This will not hurt space, and will in fact add additional space, but cause less issues with walking in front of each other.
