Our first experience of a truck camper was a v good one overall - powered to take us anywhere, comfortably, and to accommodate us v comfortably too. Plenty of strength in rhe leisure battery and a good sized water tank too. Given it had 6.7 litres of grunt under the hood, no wonder it was a bit thirsty at 16litres of diesel per 100 kms, so about 6 kms per litre. A couple of habitation issues slightly marred our experience: the oven wouldn't light and we had to buy a frying pan as there wasn't one provided (although listed on the manifest). Otherwise all good.
