Corey Phelps always does a great job for my clients. He is a great communicator, knows his stuff, and my clients love him. I usually always include a comment about his processor, Heidi Gilchrist, too, because Heidi always did a wonderful job - very responsive and knowledgeable. However, I recently learned that due to the growing workload that was given to Heidi without a comparative pay increase, Heidi recently left Front Street Mortgage. This is very disappointing. It's too bad someone at the top of the management chain didn't reach back out to Heidi, ask her to stay, let her know she is appreciated, and give her a reasonable pay increase to keep her with the company. Good help is very hard to find. Such a shame.
Additionally, we all know that the all businesses related to real estate are backed up right now, but the additional TWO weeks it took to close a recent deal was border line ridiculous. Corey stayed on top of everything even though he was short handed, communicating with me daily so I had news to share with the listing agent. I would love to continue to refer my clients to Front Street Mortgage, however, if this type of delay is what our REO mortgage services are now offering I simply can not. My buyers provided everything requested within hours of the request; they weren't the reason their closing was delayed. If more help is needed within the underwriting department for John Adams Mortgage, please please please try to find additional help. I know that Heidi Gilchrist applied for an underwriting position - it's too bad she wasn't hired.
