I am loving my experience on the wellness floor. Green hills has so many great machines. A couple of inventory items i am struggling with is the mats are kind of old. There aren’t enough platforms or boxes to do steeping exercises and some of the weights need to be restocked.

I want to specifically highlight how amazing Thomas is that works the desk at the back entrance. I know myself and many others get greeted with a smile and he personally remembers our names and we talk about our favorite sports teams and the whole 9 yards. He is a treasure and deserves a massive raise. I also have been recovering from an ACL tear and Thomas asks me every week how recovery is going and how I am doing. Really great person!

Clean and very spacious, several different areas to train based on what your goal was for the day.

Everyone is friendly, especially the staff. For the most part other Y members are polite and considerate when I exercise. Occasionally it's difficult to do certain weight exercises because some people "park" on the the incline press or lat pull (for example). I was always taught to do circuits of at least 3 or 4 exercises to keep your heart rate up. When people just sit at one particular spot and do nothing in between sets it can get frustrating if availability is limited. Sometimes people offer to let you work-in, but this seems pretty rare these days. This is a change from my past experiences. My only other complaint is when people have loud phone conversations (usually work related) on their ear buds while lifting weights. Yelling about stock share prices or some other nonsense while others are trying to workout seems pretty inconsiderate. Perhaps this is the new norm for our society and therefore unavoidable. I had to apply for a reduced membership fee and the two people who helped me were polite and reasonable. I think they tried to keep any personal embarrassment about my financial situation to a minimum which I appreciated. It would have been helpful if they had an office available where we could have discussed things in more privacy. Having to reveal personal details about my financial, work and health situation out in the open with people walking in and out around us was uncomfortable for me. However, overall my experience was positive and I really appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. Thanks!

It is easily accessible and has a good variety of fitness programming for all levels and ages. Teachers are excellent. I really appreciate the recent addition of the E-GYM. Not many gyms have it and I'm so glad my Y brought it in. It nicely rounds out a workout that includes Pilates and AOA Dance. Lastly, friendships have been made in these classes so it's really nice to have a number of sitting areas throughout the lounge to socialize.
