My second visit to Hall Bicycle Company for service. Both times things have went well and my needs were met (I am a casual rider and do not put in many miles)! This latest visit I had issues with shifting on my very old trek bike. The technician had an idea of exactly what it was (old lube in the old style gear shifters) and he gave it a quick attempt to do a "fast fix" while I was there but it did not cooperate. They had it done an hour or so later and gave me a call. He also gave the bike a once over and I noticed that he had adjusted the child seat on the back of my bike and hooked up a few things I never realized were there. He also moved the rear reflector down by the tire as it was hidden by the child seat that I didn't even realize you could do. Grand total was ~21 dollars to get me back up and running and they did some quick nice to have things that really showed an attention to detail. My first visit was to return this bike to working order after 10-15 years of non-use and it cost me the tune up price along with replacement parts for tires, tubes, cables, and brakes. This service took longer than my recent experience (around a week) but I am pretty sure I came in the week before RAGBRAI so that is beyond understandable and expected! They even asked if I needed it right away and I let them know I was in no rush. Overall they always come through, they are up front on expectations, and when they fix things they are right. I will continue to use them and recommend them to anyone who asks me!
Hall's is always easy to work with. Very professional yet personal at the same time. Logan went through everything with me about what I needed done to get my bike back in tip-top riding condition. When I picked up the bike and rode it, it was like riding a brand new bike.
I brought in 3 bikes, 2 of which were long overdue for service. Your staff did an excellent job of communicating what needed to be addressed. With it being Spring, I can assume you are very busy, yet it didn't feel that way. The turnaround time was quick and the process was easy. More importantly, your staff was warm, welcoming, and friendly. I'd be happy to refer Hall to anyone looking to purchase or needing service.
Austin was good to work with. He answered my questions, made good suggestions for accessories and let me know when it was ready. I was a Specialized rider, love the new Trek.
The guys at Hall are always so helpful and polite. They know their stuff and are always happy to help with any questions and don't try to talk you into buying things you don't need. I have bought 2 bikes from them and they have always gone above and beyond with their service!
