I enjoy taking the sneaker class with Robbie. Even I do not understand what Robbie says. I am deaf. Only thing I wish there is more schedule class inside the pool for Senior, I have to be there early to claim my spot. usually, the class are booked up before 10:00 am. I have to hurry to get there to get the ticket for Sneaker Senior Exercise class at around 9:30 am. this class are limited to 45 slots. lot of the people comes in early as 9:15 am to get the tickets. They stay to wait until 10:15 am for one hour. I have seen some Seniors or new visitors could not get the ticket even the class has not start yet. Why not we could move to a big room like a gym so more people can join with us.
There is 8 am senior class swallow water exercise class. that I wanted to go. I can't leave early due to my husband needs me first until I can leave the house early as 9:30 am. There is conflict with senior class starts at 10:30 but I have to be there early to claim my spot. usually the class are booked up before 10:00 am. Wish I could go to join swallow water exercise class at other time, something like at 11:30 or on Saturdays. I know the big issue is school swim in the afternoon or Saturdays. Or what about YMCA at Peninsula Sentara building?
Coach Hope is the best coach ever she has taught more in a week than a year and a half at the other location. The Yorktown Y should not even be considered a team. I wish we would have been here from the jump
The YMCA is the perfect setting for exercising and working out. Its staff is always pleasant and courteous. The facility is looking cleaner than it has been. The only thing of concern is over-crowding, which seems the result of having a great reputation as a great place to exercise.
Friendly, the workers. Convenience of hours.
BUT! Markers in the parking lot are not good enough. If it is suppose to be one way people are not paying attention. Unfortunately not everyone looks both ways when backing out because they may think it’s a one way and then here someone comes the wrong way. Since this Y is active with children coming and going…
Folks nowadays don’t make a habit of looking both ways when crossing a street. Again, Backing out and looking one way (because you assume no one is coming down the wrong way…) I think this needs to be addressed.
