I love Egym. I love the helpful staff. I love the treadmills. It is a super great experience every time. I constantly tell people about Egym - most haven't heard about it, even one woman who swims regularly at the Y.
I really enjoy the Hendersonville Y. My only frustration is when I want to go and there is no childcare due to staff shortages. That has happened a few times. I am paying for the membership so I'd to be able to use it when I want.
Great staff, clean amenities, good equipment
3 suggestions:
1) You should add more lava rocks over the sauna heating elements. It will increase sustained heat and protect the elements from anyone foolishly pouring water on them (which I haven't seen, but I heard it's been done). A few dollars in rocks can save a few hundred in repairs and downtime.
2) There should ALWAYS be at least half a lane for open swim. The favoritism toward certain uses is wrongfully exclusionary toward everyone else.
3) The hot tub should be hotter. It's usually more like a warm tub. Reuter keeps theirs at a good temperature. (Not to mention, installing a bigger hot tub at some point in the future would be lovely.)
Ryan in the fitness center was especially helpful with the EGYM orientation. Sarah, in the welcome center is always helpful and friendly. Welcome Center staff, in general, are great.
The egym has been an incredible asset to the y. I previously had a hard time with being consistent but I find the egym to be very easy to use and makes it easier for me to work out regularly.
