I like that the Highland County Y has such a variety of exercise classes. Whether a person is a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, he or she can find something to enhance his or her physical strength. The instructors each bring their own style--and I love them all! Variety, accessibility (morning/evening classes every day!), and fun are what I like most about the exercise classes. Prior to COVID19, I also love the adult co-ed sand and indoor volleyball. My husband an I played regularly, so we are excited to begin that adult sports activity again. :-)
Since I cannot swim, I am pleased to be able to reserve a lap lane so I can do my water exercises. I need them to keep moving since walking on land is difficult with my replaced knees and arthritic hips. Thank You for making this possible for me
For the past year, all I have really done is walk on the track at Highland. It is rarely crowded when I go and everyone who uses the track seems to get along. Since COVID, we are greatly curtailed and although I want to start a core-strengthening plan, I haven't found a spot yet. That's OK. I like how much cleaner the facility is since we became part of the Cincinnati Y. The staff is unfailingly friendly and helpful.
I primarily go to the gym and workout. I like the equipment. The only thing I don't like is that some people aren't considerate enough to wipe the equipment down after they use it. So I wipe down before and after I use it.
