I just wanted to share some feedback after attending last night’s hip hop class, I really enjoyed it! The slower pace and the instructor’s patience, this made a big difference, especially for someone like me who’s relatively new to dancing. It was great to see such a diverse group of students from different backgrounds, it really added to the fun and inclusive vibe of the class.
That said, I have noticed in some of the previous beginner-level classes taught by other instructors, the choreography can feel a bit rushed or quite advanced. While I understand some students have been coming for a long time and are more experienced, many of us are still building confidence and basic technique. It would be really helpful if beginner classes focused more on foundational steps and moved at a more manageable pace.
Keeping the classes truly accessible for beginners would definitely encourage more people to stick with it and feel successful in their dance journey.
Thanks again for creating such a welcoming space! I’m looking forward to more classes!
It’s my first time going there to improve my skills more and I really had fun because the teachers were so supportive and funny to be with. I would love to go again☺️
I took 2 classes and I had a really good time. You can tell that the teachers are passionate about dancing so it motivates you. I would 100% recommend this place.
Great class and great teacher. Walk in casual session on a Wednesday evening. Teacher moves around a lot to help people on all sides of the classroom. Great choreography and instruction. Keen to do it again soon.
My 13-year-old daughter took the lesson alone. The studio staff and instructors were very kind, and the people who took the lesson together were also friendly and warm. My daughter seems to have enjoyed it very much! Thank you!
The teachers are amazing and so fun and friendly which makes learning so much more exciting and less scary! The vibes are also amazing throughout the classes, students are also friendly.
I am older than most of the people who dance pop, hip hop or afro at schools in Auckland. I have always had a passion for dance since i was at college which was many years ago.
Most people my age usually stop dancing or move to a slower traditional form. I loved the dance classes at HITT because they are intensive, fun, psychologically challenging and social.
I enjoyed all the encouragement sent from the instructors and i also loved learning new dance moves. I believe in repetition of basics to develop so the basic classes are perfect. I also believe in stretching and isolations to develop which is also taught at HITT.
Overall i am very grateful to attend dancing at HITT. My goal is to develop over the long term and learn to dance well.
Thank you for the great support.
It was really fun! Great routine and fairly easy to learn for a complete beginner who's barely danced before. The tutors are great and it was nice to meet other people in the class as well.
