My parents have been retired in Florida for years. My Mom's health began rapid declining recently and my siblings and I each live in different states. I knew my parents needed help - quickly - in October. I reached out to services that help the aging for a referral for an excellent service. I wanted the best help for my Mom where she could remain at home. It has been her long desire to stay at home - she expressed that wish over the past 20 years in written notes which I kept. She was a nurse for years and was good at declaring her wishes. Home Instead Senior Care was one of two referrals and when I spoke to their office, it was the one I chose. I could not be more pleased with the care and compassion shown to my Mom as well as the excellent communication from my Mom's caseworker. I have heard not pleasant stories from my co-workers and friends on care they had for their parents. But Home Instead arrived the day I called to evaluate and began service the next day. Sarah and Mindy have been wonderful, as well as Kim [caseworker]. My Mom has been able to maintain her dignity. My Dad, who at 91 can be demanding, has spoken often how helpful the care has been, saying he could not have gone through this without their help. During such a sad time, I cannot express my appreciation enough for the assistance provided.
HomeInstead is a wonderful agency. Have been more than satisfied with their service for about 4 years before ALF was required. Want 2 highly recommend them & some of their employees- Kim Runk, their PR team (sorry can’t remember names but they were great) & most important hands on: Jennifer, Lou Ellen & Esther. If u need this in writing let me know.
My questions about my far-away father are answered quickly and professionally and always with a bit of humor and encouragement. His billing information is routinely sent to my inbox and if I have questions, someone always assists. Thank you for helping our family and most importantly, our dad!
