Home Instead personnel have been compassionate, caring and friendly. This has made my father's transition much easier than it could have been. Consequently, I would highly recommend using Home Instead to someone else in a similar situation.
Do a good job offering a companion for my Dad once per week, reporting back to me on how the visits with my Dad are going, and submitting bills in a timely fashion, notifying me when service rates go up, notifying me in advance of when visiting hours need to change/ when companion needs to change.
The care staff are focused on the needs of the client. My experience is that the staff assigned to my mother treat her as their own family. This is a level of care much higher than that provided by the local Heslth Authority contractor. The extra cost is well worth the benefit. My mother calls the Home Instead staff “friends”
The responsiveness and willingness to make things happen is truly impressive. When any obstacle to the provision of care arises (which is inevitable) the Home Instead team grapples with finding a work around, instead of just staring at the roadblock.
Your Client Care coordinators are very responsive. The senior I am helping take care of has staff as well as your service and when one of the staff gets sick or goes away for an extended vacation, you have always been there to take care of things.
Whenever I needed to adjust the hours or the days they were so willing and able to accommodate my requests. The care-givers and companions were caring, compassionate and extremely helpful to the client as well as the families. Without them I wasn't sure I could have taken care of my parent and kept him in the home as long as we did.
Our mother has established a fantastic companionship with one of your employees. You had the flexibility to allow that to happen. Your services would NOT have worked for our situation if you had insisted on a rotation of visitors to our Mom. Thanks!
