Enjoyed the hot yoga class with Stacy and I felt amazing afterwards. This was my first hot yoga class and I will certainly come back. The class was perfect for addressing strength, flexibility, and balance and relaxing.
I love all of the guidance and explanations regarding benefits of each pose. Everyone is very friendly, accepting and supportive. Whenever I ask a question I am given great attention and follow through.
Friendly! Julie was focused on providing a positive experience. This meant a strong workout, comfortable space, and kind words. Support and encouragement was all around! The studio was sweetly clean, with an efficient changing and shower space. The scented cooling towels were a nice touch.
The teachers, the 'vibe' of the studio, the camaraderie and support the students have for each other. I like the variety of yoga offered and the heat in the rooms. The showers and bathroom are always clean. Location and parking is great.
Hot yoga is not for everyone so I would not recommend to all but would to most. Interesting to me that there are not more older people.
A couple of things...
The floor in the hot room - the older one - how is it cleaned? I detect an odor from my mat/towel and I think is not me but the floor. Not sure.
The soap in the shower stalls - sometimes I can't get it to work so I started bringing my own soap.
The temperature in the showers - a challenge to keep it right - takes a while for it to be hot and then gets too how - guess is the flushing of the toilets.
The women's locker room could be bigger.
I recently cited the cleanliness of the studio to a new person as an advantage to me. This can't be an easy task to keep it clean with the volume and the sweat.
I wonder if the studio didn't swing too far from traditional Hot 26 and I find myself looking for this class and is often not available to me for the times I come. I appreciate the others though - hot power flow and core inferno.
Also the Chakra workshop that Raphaela did - I would probably do it again just because it helped me further my practice and I enjoyed it a lot. The hip bone is actually connected to the thigh bone! But really I became aware of how the top is connected to the bottom.
Thanks for the studio and the excellence of it.
The yoga is highly effective; the teaching is upbeat; there are classes to suit everyone's taste and needs; the studio is beautiful; if feels welcoming to walk into the lobby and yet, you can still sort of stay in your bubble if that's what you want/need for that day; everyone's heart is in the right place.
I like the community, the variety of classes, the heat and the teachers I recommended it yesterday to someone. Told them about the 30 for 30.
I think the front entry area is great and I like that people hang out there.
