Thank you for keeping the basic 26. I think the 26 plus classes are great. I also think they are very good business. More teachers should offer them. Adi's maturity as a yogini is impressive -- for what its worth, she is better each year. Her classes stand apart -- and that is not meant as disrespect to other great teachers. Clean studio -- that is key. Crucial. I like the floor in the hot room. People complain, but hey I've been to studios with carpets! A good place to get sick.
Some regrets. I've had two mats "removed" during my time at HYA. I left them in the men's locker room and they never showed up. I wish there were a community space. The front of the studio is inadequate. Somewhere where people could actually hang out and get to know each other. Very hard to create community when there is little space to accommodate it. Somewhere where people could arrive early, meet friends, get some coffee from next door and just enjoy the vibe. I suspect, the current space just doesn't make this possible. Not you "fault."
The Hot Yoga class I took with Ross was different for me, and I've taken a few yoga classes, and although it was a beginner class I found it challenged me in various ways, especially standing balance. I like that since I'm a group exercise instructor and would have been disappointed if I hadn't found some intensity.
