It’s our son’s first year playing soccer and my husband and I are both coaching. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the whole point of it is for the kids to have fun. They’re young and still learning so it’s important that they see it as fun and something to look forward to.
The organization of the sports and helping volunteer coaches learn how to teach the sport they chose to coach for. It makes it easier for the kids to learn sports with their breakdown of each weekly practice plan. It made me more confident in volunteer coaching when I was extremely nervous wondering if I’d do a good job or not.
Convenient times. Not too expensive. Practices are just before games so you don’t have to commit to too many days of the week. Most of the coaches are great. My complaints are: too many breaks like you get in a groove and there’s a holiday. The age ranges are a little big so like if your kid is a fresh 3 and there’s a five year old they tower over the 3 years olds. Sometimes it’s hard to find a parent to coach.
Coach Ryan is excellent with explaining the game, connecting, promoting sportsmanship, and building the kids’ skills. My son dramatically improved his tennis skills after just one i9 lesson!
Practice and games on the same day are easy on schedules and big families. The volleyball staff are great at coaching all players and explaining rules to everyone, players and those in the stands alike.
