I really like how the coaches and the refs work to truly teach kids how to play the game, and how to be good sports. I love that the focus is on fun. I love that the kids receive a lot of positive reinforcement both verbally and through earning medals and trophies. One constructive suggestion I have is for the coaches to work more systematically to help kids learn each other's names. They wear nametags the first day, but they need more reinforcement. So, for example, during practice when they pass the ball they can say their name and pass and then whoever gets it can say their name and pass, etc, etc. This repetition would help them truly learn each other's names, which makes it easier for them to connect.
I love the league. My only feedback is for basketball those colors are a waste of time. Just teach zone. The kids shouldn't play man. You only have an hour. Switching those colors for the shoulder wastes time
I wish we had a list of players on our team because it is hard to be a team when you don’t know the players’ names even.
Also, you should require birth certs at signing as kids are playing in leagues that are younger than them.
