I love the I9 programs. Both my boys have played for years and they love it as well. The competitiveness that comes with playing sports is there, however is overshadowed by the fact that I9 is so family oriented and the kids are cheered on by all; doesn't matter what team you are on. It is all about the kids, not the score.
I love the fact that it's a weekend sport and it doesn't interfere with school week. It's awesome that the parents get to volunteer coaching. The kid's have lot's of fun and also help build self esteem.
Coach [NAME REMOVED]
I had an issue with my daughter being in an older age bracket. Justin was quick to respond and resolved the issue quickly. He also followed up afterwards to make sure everything worked out. His attention made the experience a positive one.
I love that they accommodated for the other team that was smaller than ours. (My son is 3yrs old and we had 6 players whilethe other team had 4). They made the goals closer together and rotated our players. My son was so much happier playing because he had more breaks so he wasn't as tired. He also had more opportunities on the field you be successful because there were less kids bumping into each other and taking the ball away.
I like the fact that the programs are aimed towards kids having fun while getting some nice physical exercise.
The one thing I would improve is communication to parents. I signed up after the program started for soccer for my son and I wasn't contacted by anyone to let me know the time that the practice/match will take place.
I had also signed up as a coach and filled out all the paperwork but no-one called me to talk to me about this. Even more, to this day I am not getting email or I am not sure where to get the information about the next practice/match game plan, which I wouldn't know anything about unless one of the other coaches had shown it to me.
I also heard a parent talking about receiving texts as to which fields their kids are playing and which color t-shirt they should put on. I am not sure how to sign up for that either.
