We love the location, especially the Memorial Hermann location. I9 need more help on first day of the league. It was an absolute hot mess and schedules ran very late that day. Each week, the fields should be numbered since parents forget about the weird numbering. Other than that, staff are friendly and are helpful with questions.
One of the best basketball programs in the area. For I9 to be a developmental league, the practice times with the kids are way too short. Im not sure if theres someway to get a separate 45 min -1 hr time slot like my ymca pee-wee team gets but that extra practice time would go a long way.
The variety of sports that is offered. The onsite staff at Berry Miller are structured and give clear communication. The staff setup, manage the games, ensure safety of the kids and spectators, flexible, positive, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. If it wasn’t for the staff onsite I would have been in jail. I am very pleased there was adequate staffing this season so we can focus on our kids and not paying to work. I love that there are no tryouts-everyone plays and there is a focus on skill development and fundamentals. The one day commitment help with our busy schedules. I9 need to work on the scheduling issues and add more staffing.
This is my third I9 location and by far the best. The communication was proactive and the programming was organized. My only feedback would be to get a basketball goal attachment for the younger kids. The goals are a bit high for 4-5 year olds, and they make adaptors to accommodate the younger kids.
The coaches are patient and encouraging with the children. They individualize their coaching to each player's skills. We have enjoyed watching both of our children in this basketball clinic this season!
