I love the practice and game scheduling. Although my son didn't get a lot of playing time because he wasn't considered one of the better players on the team, he had a great time.
The only other issue was at the championship game this weekend, the players received a cookie and a drink. My son is deathly allergic to peanuts and one of the cookies served was peanut butter and the i9 staff was not even aware, even after my husband and I asked. Of course, this was the cookie he was handed and he could not eat it. I would be more cautious of serving this type of item around kids that have potential allergies.
I tremendously liked the program because the kids/teams enter as strangers and leave as family no matter what your nationality is! However, I did experience some hostility from a parent/parents of a team due to a ref correcting the way OUR KIDS was playing. Honestly, I thanked that Ref because I paid for correctly taught fundamentals and sportsmanship!
It's my child's first time to participate I9 Sports and he is learning to love basketball more than before. Kids are given equal opportunity to play and I like that every week they have a theme and a child who exhibits that character receives a medal for that week. My son was so proud to receive it. Also, staffs are very helpful and responds promptly to my questions and concerns which I appreciate a lot. Venue is indoor which is also a plus.We sign up again for the next season
My son had a great time. Our coach was kind and great with the kids. My son learned a lot from Coach Bryan Cook. He was patient with my hearing impaired son and used an FM system which allowed my son to hear instructions in a noisy environment.
Also I don't know the name of the head referee for for Flag football but he is Great. So animated, humorous and encouraging. He is head cheerleader, comedian, coach, and sports official rolled into one. He made sure parents were engaged and having a good time as well as the kids. Somehow he was also able to keep score and make good calls too.
Week nights are super busy for our family! I love that practices and games are on Saturdays, and at the same location for our children of varying age groups! We don't have to separate and juggle who's going to drive which kid where! The organization is perfect for our family!!
Registering is easy. Signing up for snacks is convenient, plus a snack reminder is sent via email when the selected weekend is coming up. The whole program is well organized, with only one scheduling conflict but the season was extended to make up for it, which was greatly appreciated. It was difficult getting parents to want to be coaches so having a staff ready to help and coach when needed was helpful. Overall, it has been an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do it all again next season!
