I think it was a great opportunity for my son to play with others. He learned discipline and self control as well as working together as a team. We are considering signing him up for another i9 sports event again.
I thought the program was organized and I liked that the kids got to play the entire game. I also like the practice before the game.
I would like to comment that coach Marcus Williams was awful! I realize these are volunteers, however, his behavior was terrible and he should not be allowed to coach again. He yelled at the kids the entire time, never took the time to coach or teach. He did the same play every game over and over again. It was discouraging and disheartening to the children. The best week they had was the weeks they had were the two weeks he did not show up!
Thank you, [NAME REMOVED]
You all are providing these kids with knowledge of fundamentals, sportmanship, and enthusiasm for the game. My daughter is the only girl on the all boys teams and she looks forward to the weekly games. She has grown so much as a player in these few short weeks and she is only 6. In 11 more years when she accepts that basketball scholarship we will know where she started building her foundation ☺.
