I had enrolled my son in i9 Sports soccer programs over the years. They are well organized, and the coach thoroughly does his/her job. I greatly appreciate the quality of work and energy shown by the staff at i9 Sports whenever I talk to them.
we like the new structure with support from staff for coaches. We love the group work out pre practice as show comradery. It seems to be more organized and structure while still allowing kids to have fun!
That there isn't a separate practice and game time when the kids are so little (my son is 4). I love that we only have to go once and they get both practice and game experience.
The support and logistics is great. i9 Sports makes itself well known through its advertising and flyers. The program is funded sufficiently to attract most families and participants and a very reasonable cost. Trophies, medals and jerseys included.
We have had a great experience so far. It's been the perfect introduction to soccer for our daughter. The coaches are incredibly positive and encouraging, and the structure of practice and then a game is perfect for what we were looking for. We are so glad we signed up!
This was my first time coaching at the Howard i9 League, and I thought it was well run.
One criticism that I had, which I know was shared by the parents, was how the other coach managed his team. During the first three games, he gave roughly 75% of the carries on offense to his best player. After that point, he only had three kids show up for the remainder of the year, which I assume had a lot to do with the other kids not being involved on offense, and forced us to play 3v3 - severely limiting what we were able to run offensively. For those final three games, he doubled down and gave the same kid 100% of the carries.
I want to bring this to the league's attention because I'm about to coach my fifth season with i9 this Fall, and I support and encourage the kids I coach to sign up to play in subsequent seasons. So, I want to see i9 continue to grow and succeed. And not including kids in the action is behavior that'll definitely harm retention rates, and lead to bad experiences for the kids and parents involved.
Outside of that, our team as a whole had a very positive experience this Summer. I was happy and our parents seemed pleased with how the season went.

loved the coaches, they really did well capturing the attention of the little kids keeping them engaged. the group size was also great, the coaches became friends with the kids very fast and my son cant wait to go back for another season.
Excellent program that teaches kids the fundamentals of each sport versus just playing. Coaches are very professional and forthcoming which is an essential piece for us as parents. Very well run program with a great overall environment. Our sons will return to play multiple sports. Thanks.
Its a great way for kids to learn a sport, while also being able to compete. All the coaches we so nice and everything seemed so organized. Very easy to register, and there was always great communication!
