I like that the practice and games are on the same day, many of the kids are in my sons school and there's plenty of opportunity for parental involvement even if we're unable to volunteer to coach
Awesome organization, multiple children in multiple sports. Been with them for 2 years and have enjoyed each season both as a parent and for my children
I9 has been a great program for my son. It is convenient for working families since games are on the weekends and practices are optional. I9 focuses on including all kids from all levels. Coach Jake has been a great, supportive coach.
My son enjoys playing tee ball each week. He is only 4 and asked me to sign him up this spring. He likes the thought of getting a medal during the season. He also enjoys the trophy at the end. These are things he is really proud of.
The timing is perfect on the weekends with practice being incorporated before the game.
The environment that is created to allow beginners to explore the sport in a safe way. Mistakes are ok and the pressures of the game of once they get older and eliminated to ensure a healthy fun mentality thrives.
This season has been a little scattered. I know the coaches are new and volunteers, but it is different than all the other seasons we have done with I9. I also miss the medal give to one kid after each game. One HUGE factor I think you all need in the morning is concessions, food trucks, coffee truck, or something. I would pay for it. Maybe post on the Cibolo/Schertz/New Braunfels FB pages to see what food trucks could come out. This would benefit all. I know this next point is a tough one, but the bathrooms are really out-dated and smell. The need a big remodel.
We had a fantastic experience with i9 Sports Basketball! This was my daughter Asiyah’s very first time playing basketball, and she absolutely loved it. It was amazing to see how much confidence she gained throughout the season. The program really helped open up her comfort zone, and she looked forward to every practice and game.
The entire system is extremely well-organized—from registration to weekly updates, everything ran smoothly. The coaches and staff were friendly, supportive, and great at encouraging the kids while teaching them the fundamentals of the game. Communication was consistent and clear, which made everything easy for us as parents.
We’re so grateful for this positive introduction to team sports, and we’ll definitely be back next term. Thank you, i9 Sports, for creating such a fun and welcoming environment for young athletes!
