Our kid's coach Destiny has been amazing helping him learn and grow. She is super patient, knowledgeable, and communicative with the kids. I loved that she communicated that she is not there to pick on them or be mean, she is there to help them improve and that all of her feedback to the kids is not meant to make them feel bad but encourage them to improve. Our kid is very sensitive and usually takes feedback as criticism but because of that conversation he has been super receptive to all of her coaching. She makes sure all the kids in her group get equal coaching and attention no matter the skill level. We couldn't have asked for a better coach for our kid's first season.

The focus is on learning a skill and on being part of a team as opposed to some other team sports that tend to only focus on those players that are exceptionally gifted or on being very competitive. I-9 sports provides a safe spacefor youths to grow not only in the athletic skills but also in their self confidenc. Additionally they benefit from learning life skills of how to work together with peers and how to takeand follow directions and to accept honest feedback. The coaching staff and volunteers have all been great at giving individualized attention where needed and at making each player feel validated and important. They make the drills fun and engaging keeping enthusiasm high. We will definitely look to I-9 sports again in the future for our daughter and will recommend it highly to others interested in their child playing on a sports team.

It is amazing in the way the coach greets us all upon arrival with a genuine knowledge of who we are and gives each kid a sense of belonging. His consistent timing with the practice and allows each kid to learn, take a turn and is encouraged with a positive word and uses their names. All of us parents are interacting and giving all of the kids a cheer without comparison of our own kids. The way that the children interact with each other is remarkable. The coach also keeps the children in structure and focused to what he is leading. I am very thankful and planning to continue.
