we really love how well the coaches do at remembering each child’s name, and having that personal one one connection with them. I have enjoyed watching the children gain confidence each week as they learn something new about the sport they’re playing.
We loved the coach and the director at Leaman Park. They were very engaged with the kids. I also liked having the practice and games at the same time. Super easy and convenient for busy families! Thanks!
I have to say; we started out at YMCA Frederick County for basketball and then joined i9 basketball. My goodness. The difference was NIGHT AND DAY. Niko’s coach, Shaun, is fantastic. He really puts 110% into what he does and gets the kids amped up to learn the game. He doesn’t let them mess around either which I love. Any of the coaches I have interacted with have been nothing but great. I see them on the sidelines and I’m just in awe of them. They truly care about the game and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. It was worth the money by far, I will definitely sign my son up for future sessions.
Structure: 5 weeks is the perfect amount of time for kids to try new sports and decide what they like. One hour with 30 min practice and 30 min game allows them to learn the skills AND how the game works. We’ve participated in other programs that are only 30 min and by the time the kids start to figure it out, it’s over.
Goals: teaching kids, having fun, sportsmanship, etc. over scores and winning. Top notch.
Staff: Friendly, consistent staff who really get to know the kids and care. The coaches do a great job teaching a group of kids AND offering individualized support for what each kid needs to work on. We love coach Shaun, coach Spencer, and Miss Betsy!
Locations: we’re never driving more than 15-20 minutes to get there.
I enjoy the fact that all of the children participate and the coaches are fair scrips the board. There’s no favoritism. My grand daughter is really enjoying the flag football.
My daughter loves to play volleyball. i9 Sports allows her to play this sport in an organized manner, develop her skills, and meet new friends in a fun not-so-competitive environment.
The coaches are knowledgeable and more importantly encouraging to the players, building them up and teaching them important values like responsibility and leadership. Also I've seen the players grow in all aspects - volleyball skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
I signed my grand daughter up for instructional basketball; she's 7yro. She is having the time of her life playing for the first time. This allows her to get some extra exercise in her daily routine. She is now signed up to play girls flag football. Can't wait, it's a first for her.
Well organized program. Great focus on sportsmanship and the fun of playing. For the Pee Wee soccer program my granddaughter was in there was excellent training on beginning fundamentals. All the support staff were professional and knowledgeable, but more importantly, were very enthusiastic and very supportive of the kids. Every child was recognized and all played. Superb program.
The coaches are very friendly and supportive. My child is new to soccer and feels very welcome and encouraged. I like that it's only an hour and there's not a lot of stress put on the kids.
