I loved the basketball program at Palmetto Bay Park. It was such a great program! it challenged the kids to give their best. The coaches always gave them improvement tips in a positive way. Team work was always encouraged. I also like that they really get a work out from the time they arrive to the last minute. Highly recommend it.
I like the idea of giving the children an opportunity to participate in an activity without it being super competitive, but also learn to work with others.
I also like how we include children of all abilities (some people would call it disabilities).
I like this group very much overall and the only reason I did not give it a 10 was because in some ways it felt/feels a little bit disorganized.
If you want more parents involved I would add a FULL description of the different positions available. Have an introduction email explaining the sign ups for snacks and other information. I have spoken with parents that had no idea that they were to sign up online. I am new but I explored the website and that is how I found out about things and I had to share it with others.
Lastly, like I said I love having children of different abilities on the teams, but something has to be done with parents (particularly of autistic children) that encourage their child to hit other children. If the child is already an aggressive child the parent needs to be encouraging the child to be less aggressive, but there were some parents encouraging and telling their child to push and hit.
Overall this has been a great experience and we look forward to participating again. We enjoy the Saturday schedule. :-)
I like that you offer all sports and grouped in age range. I love that everyone received a medal and trophy also each day is a word Sportsmanship Value and the team gets that word and work well with each other.
We really enjoy the program. Having at least one (1) I9 staff per field is awesome. They help keep practice and the games running smooth. Volunteer coaches sometimes need the direction, so it really enhaces the program to have them help.
The programs are very well organized. Each week we are well notified of that weeks events either by the coach, email, or website. The coaches are very professional and take time for each kid to participate. They reinforce teamwork and respect. Overall it's been an great time and will definitely try other sports within the program.
My 4 year old son just finished up his third T- ball season with I9 sports and loved it! His skills improved tremendously from the first practice to the last. My favorite part about I9 sports is that the location, day & time stay the same every week. Also the games are played right after the practices. They gave out medals half way and then also trophies at the end :) I love how proud my son is of them lol. They also do professional photos of the team and then of each child alone. we will most definitely be signing up again for this next coming t ball season. It's just a perfect program for little kids!! Well organized, low pressure, fun for kids (and very convenient for parents!) Great emphasis on sportsmanship!
