The coaches. Very knowledgeable. They are friendly but also firm which will toughen up their play. Overall, we love the coaches and have seen such a big improvement on how my son plays basketball.
Coach Brown is phenomenal! She really works with the girls in a positive environment but at the same time focusing on their skills and working to see improvement each week.
I-9 Is such a great program to learn a new sport, team work, discipline, have fun and you don't have not to worry about someone making fun of you. One and done practice and play game.
This is great for families that want to get their kids involved with sports but are looking for a less competitive environment.
I think opening day would be much more organized if coaches checked in 10 minutes before start time and were sent to their field and then all families checked in and were given their shirts and sent to their coach/field vs doing a willy nilly role call.
Practice plans for volunteer coaches are really helpful and should be shown as an example when asking for volunteers. I would've been quicker to raise my hand to coach if I knew it the plans were provided.
First time parent with a kid in i9 and I have been very impressed with the drills the coach has the kids do. I thought the drills were too advance for my kid but she has done well and has learned valuable skills in such a short period of time.
Coaches are great! They seem like they are having fun themselves, and that sets a good tone. Refs are also great and seem to strike a good balance between giving grace and teaching rules to the young kids.
Love coach Brown
Some communication issues/inconsistencies w i9, but have been able to resolve
Looking forward to more competitive sports as age up (travel/elite team placement)
Good evening and thank you. I am a former PE teacher and i'm a grandparent raising a 12-year-old. My granddaughter has played several seasons of CYO volleyball and wanted to participate in more programs throughout the year. I began researching online and found your program. I was initially drawn to the program due to the design-a practice and a game in one outing. I have been impressed with Coach Brown-she does an excellent job of working with the participants on drills and frequently gives one on one help to participants needing additional skill support. She is encouraging and excites the children-even while doing drills. The games have been somewhat less than the games my granddaughter has participated in and as I see it, basically because of the varying skill levels. Once again, during the game Coach Brown will stop and assist players when needed. Since this was our first experience-I wasn't sure what to expect and we have definitely enjoyed the program, and I know my granddaughter will continue to participate. In future sessions, I will inquire about seeing if she could play up (she is in seventh grade) after watching the 8-9 group last week. Once again, I have found the program to be exactly as it was advertised and would definitely continue with the program. My granddaughter will participate in her CYO league in the spring, but we will look into signing up again in the summer.
We have really enjoyed playing basketball with I9 and it is done really well and the coaches and staff are amazing. Very seamless and my son really enjoys it although one of the teams seems much older and taller then all the other kids which doesn't make a very fair game but not a big deal. Thanks for everything!
