This is our first experience with i9 (doing the soccer summer session). Although it was a bit disconcerting to be unexpectedly moved from Burke, VA to Hayfield, VA (I would have liked to have been given the option to obtain a refund if there were not coaches at the location I originally signed up for), the coaches and staff at Hayfield Elementary School have been AMAZING! Coach Kevin has absolutely gone out of his way to make sure everyone is included and having fun. Kevin's kept the ship afloat during the rough storm of the beginning of the season, and I am so thankful he's been there to keep everything moving and everyone having fun. Coach AJ has also been outstanding to step in and be there where needed as well. A huge thank you to these two coaches for going above and beyond!!! They have single-handedly made us consider coming back next year, which was questionable before. Thank you!
The girls volleyball coach is the absolute best. Our daughter Elliott has been a part of the last several sessions and we’ll keep going as long as she’s interested because we love the coach so much. The coach is incredibly talented and also has a great relationship with the girls. Couldn’t be happier with our experience.
1) The coaches support the children in a positive, appropriate, yet realistic way.
2) The various aspects of the program seem prepared and organized. Even when the actual coach didn’t show up on the first Saturday for my daughter’s soccer team, another coach stepped in and kept the program going for the children. The transition to the new coach on the following Saturday was fluid and seamless.
Practice and game on Saturday; convenience.
Coach Kevin is a consistent coach for Ford 12 and James 9, that is huge and makes a big difference for my kids’ experience.
You need more experienced coaches like Coach Kevin.
All the dads that have coached my younger son have been great also.
My son and I have had a great experience with i9 thus far. I like that the focus is more on sportsmanship, learning, skill-building, and having fun. It creates a relaxed environment for kids to build confidence and learn a new sport.
The league is well organized, and the coaches strike a great balance between teaching the sport and keeping it a fun. We love that all skill levels are welcome, and especially appreciate the emphasis placed on good sportsmanship and positive cheering from parents.
I think it’s an excellent introduction for kids who have never participated in organized team sports. The coaches and all the staff have been great! This my 6 year old son’s 2nd season with i9, playing soccer.
I like that they have practice just before the game, so us parents with busy schedules don’t have to carve out multiple days throughout the week to get the kids to practice and games. I also like the small teams, so the coaches get an opportunity to know the kids on their team, at least a little bit.
