Both of my children really enjoy the sports that they participate in. Flag football for my son and basketball for my daughter. The only bad experience we had was this last Winter season of flag football in Westminster. It felt as though the teams we were matched up against were all very much older than our team. Did not seem fair to have 10-11 year olds going against 13-14 year olds. There is just too much of a height difference at those ages. I can't imagine that any of the kids had fun. Our team could not make any plays as there were kids 1- 2 feet taller than our boys. We could not make any pass plays against them as the other boys were able to easily step in front of the ball. The other teams did not seem to be enjoying themselves either as there was really no competition to speak of. I know the other team should not have to play down their skills but when you have scores that are going 59-0 it is just crazy. I hope for the spring football league that we have already signed up for the ages are better matched. This spring will be my son's 9th season of flag football with I9 and he does usually enjoy it very much.
I love the fact that kids can just be kids and play sports for fun. i9 is one of the few programs that keeps things in perspective allowing children to learn the game in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. The program is extremely organized and communication is fantastic. The staff is always professional and very helpful. Our kids have only had positive experiences with i9. We love the program and are so thankful for such a great organization.
