InShape club at Rancho Solano is a smaller club and the atmosphere is more "home-like" - makes it easy to get to know and socialize with other members. I LOVE the pool and swim in it y days/week doing the Aqua Fit classes. Recently the club management has hired some excellent staff who are keeping the locker rooms cleaner and par levels of things such as toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, mouthwash, papertowels, etc. current. There are issues with keeping the overall physical plant /building and the pool heaters/blowers and showers /plumbing maintained due to the age of the facility (> 35 years old), which need to be addressed and improved. I attend many of the classes provided in the GROUP FITNESS room - yoga, pilates, Strength, Silver Strength, Body Pump, Cycling, etc and enjoy the instructors. I do wish we had more individual rooms to hold classes and have more classes offered. I also wish the club could stay open later in the evening (ie, it closes during the week at 9:00 pm and weekends at 8:00 pm). For people who do shift work or families with shift work members, having the clubs hours extended especially in the Summer time when the days are longer and it stays light longer would be an improvement I would like to see. It also appears the club is having challenges recruiting for permanent Aqua Fit instructors for some of the days we had a regular instructor and left , which has been very disappointing as the classes for Aqua Fit often run 25-30 people/class each day. I would also like to see the Club Manager and the Inshape club management take a more active role in assuring and securing "subs" when a class is cancelled or instructor is unable to teach. Currently the process is on the backs of the instructors to post on a "SUB BOARD" their need for a sub but the Manager of the CLUB does NOT monitor this nor assumes any responsibility for ensuring a sub is secured. The club manager needs to become engaged in trying to locate instructors to fill gaps/openings, etc. I would think this might be "easy " to do given the networking that could occur between Managers of local clubs within 10-20 miles of each other. Just a suggestion.

My home gym is Rancho Solano although I don't visit this gym often. The times I do, I find the facilities to be clean, the weight equipment is operational, and the staff is available and will assist you. Yesterday I received a telephone call from Daniel pertaining to a feedback form I had completed. I completed it thinking it was for Dover but instead it was actually for Rancho. Daniel called me to follow up with my concerns. Talking with him I realized I had responded to the feedback form thinking it was Dover. We chatted for a minute, and I also explained my frustration that I could no longer get access to my membership on my phone. He took the time to listen to me, and to resolve my issues. Daniel also asked if there was anything else he could assist me with. This is what I call customer service! Keep up the good work at Rancho.
