I like that the gym is large, the new set up makes it feel bigger and i feel like there is more equipment. I was slightly intimidated with using the equipment because you are always so busy, but now its almost broken up and there is plenty of room. The staff is always fantastic and helpful.

Grateful for a Gym That Supports Parents Hi. I'm Veronica. I’ve been going to In-Shape since August 2025, and honestly the main reason I signed up was because of their childcare services. As a single mom, that meant everything to me. If it weren’t for In-Shape offering childcare, I probably wouldn’t be able to go to the gym consistently. My child absolutely loves the childcare area. He’s always asking if we can go to the gym, which motivates me even more to get my workouts in. It’s such a relief to know he’s somewhere safe, having fun, while I’m able to focus on my health. During peak hours the gym can definitely get busy, but honestly I don’t mind at all as long as my child is happily being cared for. That service alone makes a huge difference for parents like me. What really impressed me is that they also create events for the kids. The Halloween event they hosted was amazing — they had a bounce house, a DJ, food vendors, candy, face painting, and so much more. I remember thinking, what gym does this? It was such a thoughtful way to bring families together. I’m really grateful for In-Shape and their willingness to support parents and children. Providing childcare isn’t always easy or the most profitable service, and there’s a reason not every gym offers it. But In-Shape does, and it makes a real difference. Thank you, In-Shape, for being a gym that truly welcomes families and says yes to kids.

We are lap swimmers. Pool is always clean and warm. Hot tub is amazing. Most people seem to realize now that a reservation is required to use the pool. This is a welcome development as at times in the past some folks did not understand a reservation takes precedence over just showing up and occupying a lane. Thanks for all you do. I was in town because my brother was in the hospital. I didn’t have anywhere to shower so I remembered my membership. I stopped in and there was a gentleman at the front desk who had been working with in shape for many years. He was very kind to me he showed me where to go, and he was even empathetic for the fact that I was visiting my brother in the hospital. If I was near Santa Maria, I would definitely visit that gym 💙
