I’m glad there wasn’t a lot of people in the morning and I was able to play pickle ball with peace and quiet. I usually workout during the night and some machines may be a little loud but overall great gym.
It’s the pickleball program that I encourage people to get into, from Intro to the Fundamental
classes.
The courts look great. They are clean and the surrounding areas are cleaner. It would be awesome if the courts could be maintained on a regular basis. It would be nice if In-Shape would invent in new furniture. The cushioned black chairs have never been cleaned. They’re a bit gross because of players’ sweat. So, new chairs should be sports appropriate.
I played in the Stacy Strong tournament and tried to encourage my peers to to enter it. Many, many did not because of the price and bad past experiences. I know In-Shape realizes the lack of entrants. Advertising it and offering snacks or cold drinks might help. Maybe look into other tournaments to see how they draw in more players.
Also, look at your audience. Think about our ages. Was it necessary to put us older folks in the afternoon? Over half of the teams were over 60/70.
It’s too bad that players of today didn’t know Stacy. In the intro, someone could have talked about who she was and told her story. It would also help if people know how much of the proceeds go to Special Olympics. It should not be a secret.
I feel if In-Shape wants successful tournaments, you need to change some things. Make it an event, just not another tournament.
The staff are very knowledgeable about the club. They quickly answer my questions or concerns. They always warmly greet everyone as they enter into the club.
I love the friendly staff and all the help I’ve received and I love the cleanliness too it always smells so good in the women’s locker room like fruit loops lol
