Great environment to engage in activites
Of interest. Supportive, friendly and professional staff
And wide range of programs for all levels. A wonderful sense of community and the Y’s commitment to their community makes it am excellent choice for individual's and families. Highly recommend to join.
Kind staff, great size, clean - especially thankful for the lovely ladies who run the kids' club on Monday mornings and for swim coaches Jillybean and Brendan. This team is helping my kids learn to swim, and I'm so grateful!
Huge fan of the Ipswich Y over here 🙋♀️
I’ve been a member for a few years, my children are almost 6 and 3 - I’ve been taking my youngest with me to the YMCA since he was 6 weeks old. On a personal note I was dealing with depression during and after my second child, so I signed up for weekly personal training sessions. That’s when my love for the Y began. It definitely has the community vibe, but I’d say it’s more like a workout family. The people who work there are amazing! For example I was anxious about trying out a workout class a few years back and one of the trainers jumped in to do the whole class with me (not even on a day she worked there). It’s a place where everyone makes you feel included. I am thankful for my workout buddies.
Bringing my kids to the Y was a total game changer for us - my kids are involved in classes at the Y. My oldest has done basketball and swimming on the weekends and she loves going to both! My youngest one does the Kids Mania class and anytime my son is at the Y he is looking for his coach! Outside of kids classes, the Y has a Bouncy House (inflatable course with a slide) for the kids. I feel absolutely no mom guilt during my workout because my kids enjoy kids club and running around afterwards with their gym buddies.
We have been members for a few years and are so thankful to have a YMCA in our community.
My son has really thrived in his swim class! The coaches are amazing at meeting kids where they are at and knowing how to progress them accordingly. This session has been wonderful compared to lessons in the past!! I think his coaches are Jilly Bean and Mari and they are wonderful!
Our instructor (Jill) is incredible. She has taken our girls from a fear of touching the water to swimming laps. She is nurturing, compassionate yet encourages her students to challenge themselves. Jill teaches the fundamentals of swimming in a way that builds self confidence and resilience.
We love that they get to spend time outside when it is nice out. Even in the infant room they try to squeeze in painting or other enrichment activities. Our teachers have also been very accomodating with our early intervention specialist and have helped our son improve his eating habits. We are grateful for them!
The teachers are very caring and friendly. My daughter has grown and really love being there. She is so comfortable with the teachers. I like to say thank you
I like that my child is getting great quality time with her teachers and friends. She is always doing fun and educational activities that are age appropriate.
