I’m always impressed with the caring attitude of my doctors at JOI. Dr Picerno specifically…I’ve never in my 67 years experienced a Dr with more patience, empathy, and yes even sympathy for his patients and their family members and what they are facing in their lives. He is the only Dr that I can say has ever prayed with me even if I am not asking him to…he will ask me if he can! My answer will always be YES! I truly believe that he loves his patients and respects them and wants to make them better!!! I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr Picerno who was the surgeon that took care of my 92 mom who unfortunately fractured her hip. Just before surgery, he did something I’ve never seen any other doctor do—he prayed for her. In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace and reassurance, even though I had never interacted with Dr Picerno before. His compassion, faith, and dedication made it clear that my mom was in outstanding hands. That simple act spoke volumes about his character and the care he provides. I’m incredibly thankful!
