James did a fabulous job. It took us many months and a lot of offers but we finally got our house all thanks to James. He was very patient with us and gave us all the help we needed. He is very knowledgable about building and designing houses which helped us avoid certain houses that had issues. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to friends/family.

James was very accommodating for us as we had to travel 3 hours for every house showing. We could call him on a short notice when we would be in the area and he was always willing to meet with us to view the properties. He was also informative on market conditions and property evaluations. When we did find a property and made offers, James was able to guide us through the process and updated us as needed on the progress. We certainly put James through some trials as our wish list changed over the course, but James was very patient and came through for us. I would recommend James to anyone who needs help in understanding the market in Ann Arbor when searching for a house or condo

He took the time to not only know our family and our needs but also a newbee to the Ann Arbor area he made sure to educate us on the different neighborhoods and best options for us. His knowledge of architecture and design was extremely helpful to us and he even helped select carpet and paint as we live in Miami and couldn’t be there locally. We know consider him as a friend not just our realtor!

James is deeply knowledgeable about real estate transactions, architecture, landscaping, communities, and commutes. He helped us find and close on a terrific home during an intense sellers' market; his stamina in the search was nothing short of a marvel. He understood our budget and was able to show us a number of possibilities that met the house parameters we set. As exhausting as a home search can be, I left all our viewings and the ultimate real estate transaction a more confident, optimistic, and better informed home buyer than before. Mr. McCarthy was very patient with me - I was first introduced to him through a friend, and it took years for me to finally decide to buy a home, but when I did, he went all out with nearly 10 showings in one day.
