My daughter (and myself vicariously) have enjoyed swim lessons at the ymca. She completed pre-k 2 for the second time, which really helped improve on the skills she learned the first time she took it. Ms Fiona was really great with my daughter and the other kids. The other kids seemed younger and a little less experienced with swimming so when I asked Fiona, if we were in the right class, she was helpful in explaining the criteria to move to level 3. And even though it was a group lesson, she was able to individualize the lesson so [FIRST NAME REMOVED] was able to learn to be more independent in the skills and move to level 3. The only issue i have had is that since parents are no longer able to sit close to the lesson, I am unable to hear the instructions being given so its hard to reinforce what [FIRST NAME REMOVED] is learning when we swim other places. No huge deal, as Im sure there is a reason for this. I also do not believe I filled out a survey for the first time we took pre-k 2. We had Ms Rebecca, who is also awesome with all the kids, so want to give her a shout out too for helping build the foundation that helped get us to level 3. Overall, im really happy with the swim lessons at the Y.
Really like opening the lower pool early during upper men's locker room construction.
You need to regularly update pool schedules to reflect what is actually going on.
