John did an outstanding job of making sure that the home was what we were looking for. He had suggestions that helped us to better understand the market and made sure that every time we went to look at a home, we had everything prepared to be able to adjust our expectations ahead of time. Once in a home, John was excellent at checking on the "bones" of a home and ensuring that there was no issue that was being hidden. He has great attention to detail which comes with experience. He responded very quickly to any form of communication that you were comfortable with and was always available to answer any questions. The market is very competitive right now, so it was difficult to adjust our expectations and John was there to help us at every corner. Excellent personality that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful home.

John went above and beyond the work I thought a realtor should do. He was able to negotiate a lower price than I thought was possible. He responded quickly and professionally to all requests. Working with John Russell from Reinhart Realtors was wonderful. Looking at houses in a rough market can be stressful, and he was knowledgeable about things to look out for when considering older homes. When I found the right house, he was exceptionally savvy about the details needed to submit a competitive offer. He also offered guidance on who to bring in for home and sewer inspection (I asked for the pickiest, most detailed oriented) and provided additional recommendations of who to contact for a few updates I'd like to make after purchase. But the thing I most appreciated was his general attitude and vibe - very patient and not at all pushy, while always following up on everything single thing requested. I would recommend him without reservation for someone looking in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.

John Russell was an absolutely fantastic ally during our purchase of a mixed-use building in Ypsilanti. The transaction turned out to be extraordinarily comlpex, and John was a calming and effective agent that helped us get the deal closed.
He is patient, creative, hard-working and an asset to the real estate industry. I wouldn't use anyone else to represent us if we choose to buy another property.

John was a pleasure to work with and was thorough and knowledgeable from beginning to end. I am an experienced home buyer/seller but from a southern state so when I moved to Michigan I needed someone who knew the ins and outs of northern homes as well as had a deep knowledge of the greater Ann Arbor real estate market. John brought all those things and more to the table. He was very collaborative and was great to view listings with, because he paid attention to all the details that I wasn't so good about, including roofs, windows and air handlers. I found his knowledge of the local real estate market and it's various little pockets in and around Ann Arbor to be extensive...you can tell that he has lived and done real estate in the area for a while! I would love to be able to do business with him again down the road and have already recommended him to several friends and co-workers.
