We moved 1700 miles cross country in September, 2023. We were fortunate enough to have Sheldon as our driver. He was patient in explaining what to expect as well as communicating his location so we could stay informed of our delivery time. We had a handmade dining room table as well as a pottery barn desk that were tricky and disassembling and reassembling. Sheldon did these personally to ensure they were done right. Our new home has a very steep driveway. Sheldon handled the truck very well and made sure we were satisfied before he left. We would give Sheldon a #1 rating for sure. C.S.

Accurate cost estimate, flexibility with changing the furniture pick up date (I had to change the date due to COVID), driver showed up and delivered as scheduled. Great experience overall.

Johnson Storage and Moving was extremely professional and competent at all times. They had to find packers, loaders and a driver (with truck) with only 4 days notice due to the incompetence of a United Van Lines employee in Albuquerque who moved our packing day up (4 days earlier) without telling me AND never contacted me to tell me that the office at my husband's new place of employment, who where paying for our move, hadn't sent authorization for 3 weeks. A simple call from me would have gotten them going in a day or 2. But, I just assumed that "no news was good news" until I called the Albuquerque office on a Monday (because we were scheduled on the following Monday) and was told packing had been moved up to the Thursday before (What?!?!!!!) and that they just got the authorization from Hubby's new job the day before (3 weeks after sending it in) so wheren't able to find packers, loaders, and a driver until they had the authorization. So, this incompetent person in Albuquerque called Johnson Storage and Moving (JSM) on Mon or Tues for packing that Thurs and Fri!!!! I spoke with the owner of JSM and they told me that they didn't know if they were going to be able to find people, especially a driver for the following Monday, on such short notice, but that they were going to work really hard to make it happen. And boy did they! I was SO stressed, and they found everyone! JMS even told me that the driver they found was top-notch. The packers came on both Thursday and Friday. They were polite and clean. The loaders and driver arrived the following Monday. They too were polite and clean, although 2 of the loaders smelled strongly of Marijuana, which is less-than professional. Turns out that After a driver is found, (s)he finds and hires the loaders, not JMS. They got the truck loaded in 1 day even though it was scheduled for 2, and off our stuff went. It went to storage in our new state because we had not purchased a residence there yet. We lived in faculty housing for a few months and rented furniture. I highly recommend Johnson Moving and Storage!

Your men in both Albuquerque & in NJ delivering to Pennsylvania from the NJ storage were prompt, polite, hard working, didn't lose or damage anything ( one shelf might be gone from a cabinet) but considering I had 93 boxes (some quite small, they did a great job. They were also much faster than I expected without dropping anything. The men are what make Johnson Storage & Moving & United Van Lines really professional & nice. V. B.
