We are in shock about the announcement that the Longmont YMCA will close in two weeks..
Such a hugely beneficial institution to so many people, but now it will be closed.
I'm amazed that the directors of the Colorado YMCA did not come forward to the Longmont members with the dire financial status. I feel certain that the 5M$ shortfall in funding could have been erased by member donations.
I would have to say that from my perspective that Colorado YMCA management did a very poor job in handling this issue.

Very nice facility, plenty of up to date exercise equipment, clean, wonderful swimming, good parking, friendly staff, centrally located, convenient hours. It has everything I need to help me consistently improve my physical and mental health.
The facility has a good variety of resources, allowing for a wide range of exercise options. The day care resource is a big help for busy families. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The pricing is also reasonable.
Pilates Reformer classes are strength (and balance) building! Really love the Pilates Reformer Springboard classes! Laura is can awesome Pilates instructor!
I like the instructor Kris Wilson. Her classes are great. I like the aqua classes and the pool to swim laps. It’s a fun place to work out with my friend.
Wide variety of weight machines and free weights. Also plenty of classes and treadmills, stair climbers, stationary bikes. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
