unfortunately Kristina is making statements without a basis of knowledge or understanding of our business. So we do recycle and donate stuff on a regular basis to both national charities and local charities, we also recycle things like metal, wood, electronics, clothing, cardboard, paper, etc....
How this works is we load stuff on the truck then after we will pull anything that can be donated and put it aside, we then remove the recycle stuff off and put it in the proper place to recycle. Lastly the items left that we can not recycle we bring to a transfer station who does further sorting of the remains and a small percentage will end up either in a landfill or a incinerated.
Kristina might be confused by the fact that some of her stuff ended up recycled and not donated. Anything recycled does not need to be loaded carefully it can be broken and still get recycled. Sometimes things folks want to see donated do not, for example charities do not want soiled or damaged furniture they do not fix or clean stains or pet hair. It is unfortunate but we can not force charities to take things. Stuff that Kristina thought was damaged during the loading was recycled and not donated.
Also the loading process we do is very efficient and we need to stay focused on spending a reasonable amount time loading the truck. I pay my workers a livable wage and can't spend all day loading one person's stuff we would need to charge far more money if we did. Sorry Kristina doesn't understand how this all works I certainly would have helped her in explaining it had she reached out with some questions. She also could have asked my guys questions they not only understand everything very well they DO IT! they are always more than willing to explain stuff to customers.
