The JCC is a Jewish institution which is unique in its inclusiveness . It is remarkable that everyone is welcomed - babies, seniors, people with handicapping conditions , non Jews, people off color , poor people , rich people, people who do not speak English - you name it.
The JCC is a big part of what makes Tenafly a great place to live .
The staff is so friendly, the facility is always clean, and there are so many different sports, arts, and programs to choose from. Everything about JCCC is amazing—I truly love it there!
I take a variety of group exercise classes and thoroughly enjoy them. Every instructor has their own strengths and vibe but they are all excellent, knowledgable and friendly. I am also appreciative of the cultural events that the JCC brings to the community including films and guest speakers.
I love how friendly the staff is, the variety of the group exercise classes and the quality of the class' instructors. My daughter enjoyed being a part of the Thurneur School of Music (YPC choir). Emma the chorus director is incredible!
My only issue is that the zumba classes I take during the week take place in the small studio (Room 2). That room gets overheated 15 minutes into the zumba class, which is a rigorous cardio workout. An older woman passed out during the class last Friday (10:30am class with Moria). It is a health hazard. I strongly urge that all zumba classes that take place in Room 2 be moved to Room 1.
Thank you so very much in advance for addressing this.
It's such a lively place. So much is going on and it's nice to see so much activity from all age groups. I mostly go to exercise class. I do wish the rooms were kept a little cleaner.
My feedback on the trips - adult day trips are that they are a bit pricey. I went on one and will likely not choose to go another.
Otherwise, I have made nice friends. It's a pretty good melting pot of the local population. Which I do like the diversity.
