We appreciate that there is a schedule and routine but also that there is a child-centered approach, if the child wants to play with toys instead of do the lesson, the teachers honor that autonomy. This is rare for my kiddo and he wants to learn and try new things. My kiddo loves his teachers, and often, on the weekend, he wants to invite his teachers to activities that we are participating in; which is so sweet! Also, my kiddo is a particular eater, and he loves the food here. I feel Kiddie Academy could sell their recipes and parents would purchase the cookbook. There are times when a teacher shares that my kiddo really liked a meal or food item during the day, and I will purchase or make it, and my kiddo will say, “that is only a school food, mamma.” So some might say, the food is way too good, haha! Leadership team is such a wonderful, collective presence, as soon as you walk through the door and they support the classrooms too; staying connected to teaching and the kiddos. The support staff is incredible too and are so engaging, no matter which class they are in. We had our kiddo in another daycare facility for almost the first two years of his life, and if there was one thing I could redo in my parenting choice, it would have been enrolling him at Kiddie Academy when he first started daycare. If they have a spot available for your kiddo to join, I recommend them 100%.
As parents, it is always helpful to receive information about the lessons being taught for the upcoming the week; this is sent an email. Also, we receive a center weekly update on all of the accomplishments and opportunities of all classrooms. Additionally, teachers are always willing to take the time during drop off and pick up to update on collective and episodic strengths and challenges our kiddo experiences during the day. Each day, we receive detailed information of food intake, potty training, activities, and photos. We also appreciate the extra programming offerings, such as Soccer Shots.
The engagement from all staff with my kiddo from the moment they walk through the door and the leave at the end of the day. It’s enriching to see the activities they participate in during the day and gives us ideas to do at home. We are new to the Kiddie Academy community, and have continued to be impressed.
I want to share my appreciation for the care and attention Kiddie gives to my baby. My baby went to Kiddie when he was 2, the warmed team celebrated birthday for him and help him a lot to adjust to day-care well. Highly recommend our teacher Ms. Maria! The staff there are very nice, especially the teachers, even though the teacher that is not responsible for my kid’s class, they remember my kid’s name and call him each time warmly. Besides, the teacher turnover rate is very low. Highly recommended!
Teachers talk a lot with kids and teach about what to do and what not to do. It is helping Veer to get better at his communication skills.
This is new which we noticed recently and we loved it - Teachers are encouraging kids in good behaviors. They are appreciating the kid’s help and their good behavior by giving them a star sticker. They also applause in the classroom during circle time.
Tadpoles is essential. That alone is a reason to always recommend KiddieAcademy in the Greater Seattle Area. The images taken are also a blessing as it provides parents and opportunity to build picture books of their own by activities outside of the home. I can only speak for Kenmore Academy when I say that management is highly professional. Especially during these trying times.
I think Colton is very well cared for and is learning so much each day. I'm thankful to all of the staff for the love and care they show him and us, and feel like Kiddie Academy is a great place for his personal and social emotional development.
